Our office in Kelowna, BC is currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to enhance our service expertise in the Okanagan Valley. This position is ideally suited to a confident and capable individual who can plan and manage computer systems, networking, security, and data management for small and medium business environments.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have completed his or her A+ and be working towards MCP or MCSE Certification. Knowledge of all major small and medium business environment hardware and software is essential. The position requires a dynamic, team playing, innovative IT professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Certification and /or a high level of skill in the following are essential:
- Windows 2003/2008 Server, including the MS Windows domain model and Active Directory
- Windows XP Professional and all versions of Vista/Windows 7
- Exchange 2003 and 2007
- Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix products
- Firewall, VPN, Router setup and configuration
- Solid understanding and knowledge of all core LAN/WAN technologies including TCP/IP, Ethernet, switching and routing, firewalls and proxies
- Design & implementation of wireless networks and security
- Linux/Unix experience beneficial
- Virtualization (XenServer, VMware ESX) experience beneficial
